My name is Abreana Spicer. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of West Georgia and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer. University. I want to be the first person to congratulate you on taking the first step toward improving your mental health and starting your therapeutic journey!

 Life can sometimes feel overwhelming and having the right support can be crucial for our overall well-being. As a dedicated and experienced master's level clinician, I specialize in guiding individuals on a journey of self-love, self-esteem, self-care, and confidence. Together, we will create a safe and nurturing space where you can explore and embrace your authentic self. By challenging negative self-talk, fostering self-acceptance, and teaching practical strategies for self-care and self-compassion, I help you cultivate resilience and embrace your inner strengths. I also recognize the significance of exploring past experiences and healing emotional wounds, providing compassionate guidance as you navigate your unique narrative toward healing and growth.

In my work with individuals facing stress, depression, or anxiety, I approach therapy as a collaborative journey. I firmly believe that you are the expert in your own life, and my role as a clinician is to support you in the way that YOU find most beneficial. Drawing on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy, we will work together to develop healthier thinking patterns, coping skills, and effective problem-solving strategies. Through DBT techniques, you will learn mindfulness practices, emotion regulation strategies, and effective communication skills, empowering you to manage stress, regulate emotions, and enhance your relationships.

 Above all, I prioritize building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel validated, understood, and supported. I understand that taking the step to start therapy and finding the right therapist can be intimidating. I want to assure you that with my warm and empathetic approach, you will be welcomed into a safe and non-judgmental space.

 Outside of my profession, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, watching movies, and creating timeless memories. I also deeply love music and reading captivating fiction.
